Finally, OnePlus has confirmed that the launch of its anticipated mid-range smartphone – OnePlus Nord. The company made it known that the device will be officially announced on July 21. At the start of the month, the smartphone was spotted in the European markets for pre-order. The pre-order will take place in three faces as reported.
Although the smartphone is yet to launch officially, the OnePlus Nord is already available for pre-order in India. Limited units of the device are available as pre-order is only available through Amazon.
The OnePlus Nord will come with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display. The screen has an aspect ratio of 20:9, 408 PPI pixel density, and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The phone will run on the Snapdragon 765G SoC alongside 6/8 GB of RAM. It will come in 128GB and 256GB storage variants.
As for the optics, a dual-camera selfie module consisting of a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8MP wide-angle lens is present on the front side. The quad-camera setup on the phone’s rear includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary lens, an 8MP ultrawide angle snapper, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens.
Out of the box, the OnePlus Nord will be pre-installed with OxygenOS based on Android 10 OS. The device will feature a 4,115mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T.
The OnePlus Nord launch event will be the world’s first AR smartphone launch. Access to the AR launch comes at a cost. For ₹99 (~$1), fans will be granted the opportunity to have hands-on experience of the OnePlus Nord before the official launch.
To pre-order the phone, an initial deposit of ₹500 (~$7) must be made on the phone’s pre-order page through Amazon.in.
The company promises to award two surprise gift boxes alongside products worth ₹5,000 (~$66) to customers who pre-order the smartphone.
The OnePlus Nord will be available in Gray Onyx, Gray Ash, and Blue Marble colour variants.
