We mentioned some days ago that the OnePlus 9 units will launch with a giveaway to their name, so we do hope you have registered for a chance to win one of those fine devices already.
As we await the official launch date, we now have benchmark scores for both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro to know even more about these units. For one, both devices will have the QUALCOMM SD 888 chipset under the board, but the Pro will have a special gaming grade cooling system also.
For now, we can see that the OnePlus 9 Pro fails to crack the 700k mark on the AnTuTu benchmark, finding its feet somewhere around 660,000 points instead.
That should not worry you though since there is a high chance that the benchmark surface was a test of the software so that the unit can be better improved before the launch date. After all, it is not uncommon for software to not be at its top level before the launch.
We will have to wait till the launch to get updated scores on the unit and see where it stands. If the launch data is close to what we have now, then we can start to worry. Knowing OnePlus and the reputation that they have to protect in the market, though, we doubt that this will be an issue in the end.
