April 14 is almost here, and we will soon have both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in the flesh. As we draw close to this date, though, we are hearing more and more about these units.

For one, we have now confirmed that the Pro options coming with a new color finish that will make many drool.

That said, current smartphone pricing and the COVID-19 pandemic has driven up the prices of many things around the world. In a bid to keep the market calm, the CEO of OnePlus has confirmed that both devices will not cross the $1000 mark.

According to Pete Lau, even the 5G options of the phones will not get near the pricing option for the Galaxy S20 5G from Samsung which starts at an impressive $999. He went further to state that the phones might be the most affordable flagship phones with 5G to come from any OEM this year.

Since they have confirmed that themselves, we can rest easy on the pricing details. In the next couple of days, though, we should be seeing what these devices will retail for.
