OnePlus has always been the one OEM that believes in sending regular software updates to its users. Today, they have started the rollout of the latest Android 8.1 Oreo to users of their OnePlus 5 and 5T models.
This push is under the OnePlus Oxygen Open Beta program, so we don’t expect the build being pushed to be stable yet. However, this would mark the Open Beta 6 for OnePlus 5 users and be recorded as Open Beta 4 for those using the 5T instead.
These updates bring more than just the Android 8.1 on board though. According to the changelog, both devices should now be equipped with the security patch for the month of February, new optimisations for gamers, more clock styles for ambient display and general bug fixes.
Inside the new rollout can also be found a new autopick feature that allows you answer a call by simply raising the phone from a resting position.
If you are currently in the beta program for both devices mentioned, you should sit tight and wait for your OTA download notification.
