Earlier in January, Honor confirmed that it would take the covers off the much-anticipated Honor V40 smartphone on January 18 – that would have been today.
However, the company released a statement last week. In the publication, it mentioned that the launch event would take place on January 22 instead.
The reasons for the postponement remain unknown. Nonetheless, it appears that the firm will unveil the Honor V40 smartphone on the new set date.
Already, the smartphone is up for reservations on Sunning and other Chinese retail platforms.
Meanwhile, the renders of the Honor V40 confirms the presence of a pill-shaped cutout at the top-left corner of the phone’s display.
From the leaked images, it appears that the display on the Honor V40 sports curved edges. The back view of the phone shows that its rectangular shaped camera module. The module contains three lenses, laser autofocus, and an LED flash unit.
Besides, recent reports have mentioned that aside the black variant, the Honor V40 would come in other colour variants like blue and orange.
Now, multiple reports have leaked the live shot of the upcoming Honor V40 smartphone. Hence, its design is no longer a mystery.
Interestingly, a Weibo user has shared a screenshot of the Honor V40’s price. The listing reveals that the handset will sell for 3,999 Yuan (~$617).

Speculations have it that the Honor V40 smartphone could arrive with a massive 6.72-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel. It appears that the screen may support a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.
It’s likely for the smartphone to feature the Dimensity 1000+ processor.
Talking cameras, the Honor V40 could come with a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera setup on its backside.
On the front side, it sports a 32-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual selfie camera setup.
Rumours have it that it features a 4,000mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
