In March, Nubia unveiled the RedMagic 6 series, which comprises only two smartphone – RedMagic 6 and RedMagic 6 Pro.
Not long ago, several leaks regarding another RedMagic 6 smartphone started hitting the internet space.
Speculations say that the upcoming handset will arrive as the RedMagic 6R, and they weren’t wrong.
Today, the company took the covers off the much-anticipated Nubia RedMagic 6R. The handset arrived as a gaming device, and it packs attractive features like a powerful chip, 144Hz display, and up to 12GB of RAM.
Specifications and features of the RedMagic 6R
The all-new RedMagci 6R sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a punch-hole design.
The screen delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 144Hz refresh rate, and 360Hz touch sampling rate.
It also supports a 20:9 aspect ratio, maximum brightness of 770nits, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Inside, the RedMagic 6R features the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, and it offers the user 6GB / 8GB / 12GB of RAM.
The RedMagic 6R packs the UFS 3.1 storage that offers storage options like 128GB and 256GB.
It would ship with RedMagic OS 4.0 based on Android 11 OS and a 4,200mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging.
Of the smartphones in the RedMagic 6 series, the RedMagic 6R packs the smallest battery and charging capacity.
However, the phone offers the user a 3D cooling system for heat dissipation. The system includes a VC cooling liquid, superconducting copper foil, a graphene layer, thermal gel, and a metallic mid-frame.
For optics, the handset has a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter and quad-camera system on the rear panel.
The rear camera setup consists of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, a 5-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The RedMagic 6R supports dual SIM, 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C port, and ultrasound support.
Pricing and availability of the RedMagic 6R

The smartphone is available in white, phantom black, and stream silver, and its sale will begin in China from June 1.
