This is looking like the month where we finally get the stable build of the Android 12. On the back of that, OEMs are not slowing down as they roll developer previews and beta stages of this new software to their users.
Last week, it was Xiaomi who was taking the Android 12-based MIUI 12.5 to its Mi 11 units. Today, we have HMD Global doing the same with the Nokia X20 which gets its first beta build to the new platform.
If you happen to have one of these devices and would like to have a developer preview also, go to the My Phone app on your device to manually request this update.
Before you update, though, note that you will be able to get first access to what Android 12 brings at the price of stability. Thus, ensure your data is backed up and that you won’t be pissed off when the software malfunctions in some areas.
In the coming weeks, though, improvements will be made as the company gears up for an official build to roll out to these units.
