Nokia has made the headlines with more than five smartphone launches this year but the HMD-controlled brand is not about to rest on its oars just yet.
There had been some words on the street about a coming 5G unit from the brand. While we would have expected it to be a flagship, new reports are showing that its not. However, the device is not in any way less interesting.
Billed to be the successor to the Nokia 8.3 5G, this new device is expected to carry an all-new Qualcomm SD 775G chipset, marry that to an impressive 6000mAh battery with 22W fast charging and round things up with cameras from Zeiss.
Speaking of the cameras, the rear arrangement is supposed to have a 108MP sensor at its head. While we don’t know much about the front camera yet, the front screen should come in at 6.5 inches of QHD+ display and feature 120Hz refresh rate, among other things.
There is no definite release date yet but some reports peg the unveiling to be within Q3 2021.
For now, it is best to wait for an official statement from the company before getting our hopes up.
