In March, HMD Global announced the Nokia 8.3 5G as its first 5G enabled smartphone. Though the smartphone was announced in the first quarter of the year, we weren’t expecting it to surface until sometime in the third quarter of the year.
Currently, the Nokia 8.3 5G is listed on the official Nokia store on Amazon Germany. This listing hints that the smartphone could be released to the European markets in July.
The Amazon Germany listing of the Nokia 8.3 5G contains some images of the smartphone that describes some of the phone’s features. Information on the pricing of the phone is not present in the listing.
However, the Nokia 8.3 5G will most likely arrive in Europe in two models. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model and the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The two smartphone variants are expected to come with a price tag of 599 Euros and 649 Euros respectively.
The Nokia 8.3 5G will come with an enormous 6.81-inch IPS LCD panel. The display comes with a punch-hole design which is obviously dedicated for the selfie camera. The screen has a 20:9 aspect ratio and supports Full HD+ resolution.
The Snapdragon 765G chipset powers this handset, and it comes with Android One based on Android 10 OS. A side-facing fingerprint scanner is integrated into the build of the phone for security.
The selfie camera on this device is a 24-megapixel lens. On the rear, it packs a 64-megapixel ZEISS lens, a super-wide 12-megapixel snapper, and a pair of 2-megapixel lenses for depth assist and macro shots.
The Nokia 8.3 5G will rely on a 4,500mAh battery. The battery is said to support 18W fast charging.
