HMD Global, a mobile phone company that deals in the marketing of the Nokia brand, will unveil the Nokia 5310 for the Indian Markets soon. This piece of information we are sure of as the company has been teasing the public about the imminent launch of the feature phone.
Nokia tweeted recently and said, the Nokia 5310 is coming back soon. The tweet from Nokia refers to the original classic Nokia 5310 popularly known as the Nokia XpressMusic, which was first released in October 2007.
As of now, HMD is yet to reveal the exact date the phone will launch. However, the device is already listed on the company’s India website. Considering Nokia’s tweet and the fact that the phone is listed on the company’s official website, the phone may likely go official in a few days.
Looking at the device, the Nokia 5310 will arrive with a 2.7-inch display with a resolution of 240 x 320pixels. The phone has a polycarbonate body and a curved glass design on the front.
The MediaTek MT6260A chipset will power this device alongside 16MB of RAM. The phone supports 2G connectivity, has dual-SIM slots, and a MicroUSB port for charging the device.
The new Nokia 5310, just like its predecessor, has dedicated buttons on either side of the screen for controlling music. The phone features dual front speakers, one is located above the display, while the other sits below the keyboard of the device.
As for the optics, a front-facing camera is absent, but it does feature a VGA camera along with a LED flash on the back panel.
The phone comes equipped with a 1,200mAh removable battery. The phone has support for Bluetooth 3.9 and runs on the Nokia Series 30+ OS.
This device retails in Europe for 39 Euro (~$44). The price in India should be in the same range.
