Last month, an OPPO Reno6 smartphone with the model number PEQM00 launched. And it featured the Dimensity 900 SoC.
Now, a mysterious OPPO device with model number CPH2251 has surfaced on the database of a renowned benchmarking platform – Geekbench.
To that end, speculations say the upcoming handset could either arrive as a new OPPO phone with the Dimensity 900 chipset or a global variant of the OPPO Reno6 5G.
Meanwhile, the Geekbench listing of the phone mentions that the OPPO CPH2251 would feature a MediTek-powered processor.
The listing further reveals the chipset will carry the model number MT6877V/ZA.
Interestingly, previous reports have hinted that the chip model number belongs to the Dimensity 900 SoC. The device could debut as a new OPPO phone after all.
Further, the document iterates that the OPPO CPH2251 would ship with 8GB of RAM and the Android 11 OS.
The phone gathered 729 points in the single-core test and 2147 points in the multi-core test.
Before its Geekbench appearance, the handset surface at Indonesia’s TKDN certification platform. But none of its specifications leaked.
However, it’s a tradition for OPPO to release smartphones with model numbers starting with ”CPH” outside the Chinese markets.
From indications, it appears that OPPO may announce the upcoming CPH2251 smartphone as the global model of the Reno6 5G.
The OPPO Reno6 5G comes with a 6.43-inch 90Hz Full HD+ AMOLED panel. The screen houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter that allows the user to take selfie pictures and make video calls.
The rear panel features a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system.
Under the hood, the Dimensity 900 processer drives the OPPO Reno6 5G. It comes with 8GB / 12GB of RAM, 128GB / 256GB of storage, and a 4,300mAh battery that supports 65W rapid charging.
