Micromax has launched a new tablet, the Canvas Tab P702 in India at a price of Rs. 7,999 (that’s about 24,000 Naira).
Although Micromax is yet to officially launch the device, it has been listed for sale on an e-commerce website in the Asian country.
The tablet is also listed on the company’s own website. According to Micromax, the tablet will be available in Bold Black and Classy White color options.
Micromax is known for its range of mid-range and entry level devices with 4G capability. The firm of recent has been steadily releasing 4G smartphones into the market.
Last week, it launched the Micromax Canvas Amaze smartphone which comes with all the trappings of a contemporary phone including 4G connectivity. This time however, it has launched a 4G tablet.
The dual-SIM supporting Micromax Canvas Tab P702 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and features a 7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution IPS display.
It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor which is clocked at 1.3GHz. This is further clubbed with 2GB RAM to offer a good multitasking and usage experience for prospective buyers.
The Canvas Tab P702 tablet sports 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card if more space is needed.
The Android tablet bears a 5megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash. There’s also a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.
On the connectivity front, the tablet supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It comes with OTG cable, headphones and 7 Kindle e-books worth Rs. 1,500 (that’s around 3,500 Naira) for free.
The device is further backed by a 3000mAh battery rated to deliver up to 250 hours of standby time and up to 3 hours of playtime. Also included are dual speakers powered by DTS audio tech.
