Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Macoox has unveiled the EX1 smartphone which sports an amazing battery power – it comes with a whopping 9000mAh battery, the first of its kind for any smartphone.
With this battery power size, The Macoox EX1 has the highest battery capacity for any smartphone in the world at the moment.
This is definitely an impressive feat for the Chinese smartphone producer as it means users of the Macoox EX1 won’t have to worry about re-charging their phones for at least for four to five days.
This is actually possible not just because of the large battery, but also because of its entry level specs.
The new handset basically looks like a generic Android device super glued onto a power bank. Although MACOOX did a decent job in making the EX1 look decent, the phone’s big bulge can’t be hidden.
The phone is very thick and although the official figure of its dimension hasn’t been released, one can guess from images at its launch that it would be at least 14-15mm thick.
If the device could be used to power other devices like the Nexus 6P, that would make the EX1’s unique selling point even greater.
While the battery is huge, the Macoox EX1 has low-end features otherwise. It comes in a 4.5 inch display and sports an 8 megapixel camera at the back.
A 2 megapixel snapper adorns the front of the smartphone which is expected to offer not too impressive services in taking selfies and making video calls.
Powering the device is an unrevealed quad-core processor accompanied by only 1GB of RAM. This will execute basic applications seamlessly but won’t be able to support heavy programmes and HD games.
This is understood as Macoox’s main focus in making the EX1 is its 9000 mAh battery.
The phone runs on an Android operating system and comes with 8GB of internal storage. Surprisingly, it also has support for 4G connectivity.
With these specifications, the Macoox EX1 could well be made for people who believe in practicality and combat trousers.
