A few weeks back, iQOO announced the Neo7 smartphone. The phone launched in China with the Snapdragon 888 SoC mobile platform.
Now, speculations have it that the Chinese phone maker is working on a new device. Claims have it that the upcoming phone would feature the Snapdragon 870 SoC.
Following that, a fresh leak revealed that the Snapdragon 870 powered device would arrive as iQOO Neo5.
Meanwhile, a live shot of the alleged iQOO Neo5 surfaced on Weibo recently. And the image revealed its design and some of its specification.
The image shared is an engineering prototype of a Vivo handset that features the Snapdragon 870 processor – he believes the smartphone may debut as the Neo5.
The image shows that the iQOO Neo5 has a punch-hole display, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of in-built storage.
He further mentioned that the upcoming iQOO smartphone would ship with the Android 11 OS.
In contrast, another tipster claims that the iQOO Neo5 would feature a 120Hz S-AMOLED panel that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
He also mentioned that the smartphone has a plastic frame. And it would support a 88W fast charging – pretty impressive.
Speculations have it that the smartphone would likely debut in China around mid-March.
So far, a few reports have claimed that two Vivo Smartphones would launch with the Snapdragon 870 chip – the first is the V2045A phone, and the other is the V2055A that recently appeared on Google Play.
Aside from the Snapdragon 870 chip, the Google Play listing revealed that the V2055A handset would feature an FHD+ display that delivers 1080 x 2400 pixels of resolution.
The listing also mentioned that it would offer the user 12GB of RAM and Android 11 OS.
