In the recent weeks, a few smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Vivo, and Xiaomi, have announced flagships featuring the Snapdragon 888 SoC.
Before now, leaks about an upcoming Meizu lineup hit the internet space. The leaks claim that the lineup would arrive as the Meizu 18 series.
Now, a fresh piece of information regarding the phone is out. And it mentions that the upcoming Meizu 18 series would feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
Meanwhile, a listing of the Meizu 18 series appeared on Pinduoduo – a Chinese retail platform – not too long ago.
Presently, the specifications of the upcoming Meizu lineup remains a mystery. The listing states the placeholder price tag of the handset as 9,999 Yuan (~$1,544).
Speculations have it that the Meizu 18 series would comprise two handsets including the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro.
If the rumours are legit, the Meizu 18 Pro will come with the Samsung E4 AMOLED panel that offers a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display would feature a punch-hole design for the front camera.
The Meizu 18 Pro would likely arrive with a quad-camera system that features a periscopic telephoto lens with support for 5x optical zoom.
The handset may support up to 100W of wired fast charging and 40W / 55W wireless fast charging.
The Meizu 18 Pro may launch in China with a price tag of 4,699 Yuan (~$726).
