The LG Velvet out of the box comes with Snapdragon 765G chipset alongside the Snapdragon X52 modem for 5G connectivity. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM, which is the only storage option the phone has. The storage is expandable, though, as the phone features a MicroSD card slot.
Speaking of the display, LG confirmed that the Velvet has a 6.8-inch P-OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and curved edges.
As from tomorrow, May 8, the people of South Korea will be able to pre-order the LG Velvet with any of the three major network carriers in the country. The starting price for the phone is set at KRW899,800, which is equivalent to $735/€680.
The triple camera on the rear side of the phone comes with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor for fancy background blur when portrait shots are taken. The front-facing camera buried in the notch on the front is 16MP.
The LG Velvet has MIL-STD 810G and IP68 certifications for durability, the phone has a battery capacity of 4,300mAh, but we are not sure of its fast-charging capability as of now. LG made it known that the Velvet is a phone with a high-quality build.
The phone will arrive in four colors- White, Grey, Illusion Sunset, and Green. Pre-orders will end on May 14, a day before the market launch of the phone.
Accessories like the Stylus and the LG Dual Screen will launch on the same day alongside the LG Velvet.
