South Korean tech firm, LG, has launched the LG Stylus 2, a smartphone which is considered to be an upgrade to the LG G4 Stylus, in India.
LG Stylus 2 – Pricing and availability
The LG Stylus 2 had been unveiled at the Mobile World Congress earlier in the year and had gone on sale in South Korea afterwards. The company however said in a statement on Monday that the Stylus 2 will be available in India starting from Wednesday, 18th of May 2016, for Rs. 19,500 (that’s roughly N59,000).
The device comes in Brown and Titan colours and can be ordered from LG’s India website.
Main specs and features
The LG Stylus 2 comes with a stylus that sports a nano-coated tip for better accuracy compared with the rubber-tipped pen on other LG phones. In addition, it features Pen Pop, a feature which shows a useful popup menu when the stylus is removed. Another notable feature of the Stylus 2 is the Pen Keeper, which notifies users when the stylus bay is empty.
The Stylus 2 comes in a 5.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels running Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based LG Stylus 2 runs LG UI 5.0. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and 2GB RAM, the device packs 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card.
There’s a 13-megapixel rear camera with CMOS sensor, and an 8-megapixel front camera on the phone as well.
Furthermore, the LG Stylus 2 features 4G LTE as well as VoLTE support, which is one of its biggest features.
It is backed by a 3000mAh removable battery and supports 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB as connectivity options. The dual-SIM phone measures 155×79.6×7.4mm and weighs 145 grams. Commenting on the launch, Amit Gujral, Marketing Head of LG Mobiles in India said:
