Twenty four hours after revealing its new X-Series smartphones, LG has announced the arrival of an enhanced sequel to the G4 Stylus smartphone dubbed the LG Stylus 2. The much awaited LG K8 was also listed on the firm’s Hungarian site.
The South Korean firm didn’t reveal pricing details of both phones but noted the Stylus 2 will be exceptionally priced. The Stylus 2 will be available in South Korea from March and will hit other markets later.
The LG Stylus 2 features a pen with a nano-coated tip which will offer more accuracy compared to the previous rubber-tipped pen seen on the LG G4 Stylus. The phone also has several alluring features associated with the pen.
The LG Stylus 2 has a 5.7-inch In-Cell display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 1.5GB of LPDDR3 RAM. There’s 16GB of inbuilt storage and it also supports microSD card.
The smartphone runs Android 6.0 and sports a 13 megapixel rear camera. It also packs an 8 megapixel front camera and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, 3G, 2G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB. The Stylus 2 will be available in Brown, Titan, and White.
The LG K8 according to its listing features a textured plastic back with power and volume buttons on the back panel.
It also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution TFT LCD display.
The smartphone packs a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC which is clocked at 1.3GHz. This is further clubbed with 1.5GB RAM and Mali-T720 GPU.
The LG K8 comes bearing an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, along with a 5-megapixel front camera as well. The device has 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the 4G LTE-enabled K8 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, FM Radio, A-GPS, and Micro USB 2.0.
It weighs 157 grams and is backed by a 2125mAh removable battery.
