The South Korean multinational LG has finally released its first TV ad for LG G5. The TV commercial was released via the official YouTube channel of the company.
The 15-second ad was more of a teaser of what the company has in store for its fans.
Though the ad does not delve into the device specs, it features a man relishing some content on the hand-held LG G5 after putting a battery into the device.
The most prominent aspect of the ad is this intriguing detail about the removable battery of LG G5. The device begins to work and starts displaying the contents within a second or two of the battery being inserted into it.
This ad appears to suggest that the battery of the smartphone can be swapped without any significant interference in the device usage.
In addition, the ad also confirms the launch date of LG G5 to be April 1 for the US markets.
As far as the specs of the smartphone are concerned, the handset will feature a QHD 5.3-inch touch-enabled display with 1440 × 2560 pixels screen resolution and 554ppi pixel density.
The LG G5 will be powered by Snapdragon 820 Kryo Dual core clocked at 2.15GHz and Dual core clocked at 1.2GHz. The processor will be augmented with Adreno 530 GPU for graphics.
For storage, LG G5 will sport 4GB of RAM along with 32GB expandable internal storage (up to 2TB). The handset will be driven by Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
In terms of camera, the handset will pack in 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 along with 8MP front-facing camera to click selfies. Connectivity options will include HSPA, GSM and LTE.
Additional specs include USB Type C connectivity and USB on-the-go. The device will be backed by 2800 mAh battery backup. LG G5 will come in four color options including pink, gold, silver and titan.
