Lenovo is further affirming its relevance and presence in the smartphone market with the launch of the Lenovo Vibe K5 and the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus smartphones.
Both smartphones sport identical features and the only difference between them is in the display resolution and SoC. They also offer support for dual-SIM and 4G LTE connectivity.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 is priced at $129 (that’s about 26,000 Naira), whereas the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus costs $149 (roughly 30,000 Naira). Both phones will be available in Silver, Grey, and Gold colour options.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 handset comes in a 5 inch LCD HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 octa-core SoC.
This is further coupled with Adreno 405 and 2GB of RAM to offer a seamless multitasking experience.
There’s also 16GB of inbuilt internal storage – which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card if more space is needed to store media files and applications.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 handset also sports a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera is also available for taking selfies and making video calls.
On the other hand, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus offers slight more powerful hardware modules- just as its name suggests. It comes in a 5 inch IPS LCD full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 quad-core SoC . This is further coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM, to offer a slightly superior experience than the Vibe K5.
There’s also a 13 megapixel rear-camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
Both handsets support dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB 2.0 connectivity options.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 and Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus have 2750mAh batteries and run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
