Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus has now been formally launched in India. The K5 Plus is priced at Rs. 8,499 (about 25,500 Naira).
The handset was first displayed at this year’s Mobile world Congress held in Barcelona. India is the very first country to get this latest smartphone.
The proud company director for smartphones, Sudhin Mathur expressed his pleasure at the new release.
“The new Vibe K5 Plus will be our successor to the A6000 series in India. The series was extremely successful in the country, and we sold over 2 million devices in the A6000 range in 2015 alone.”
Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with the TheatreMax Virtual Reality technology accompanied by Dolby Audio support. The company had previously incorporated the TheatreMax VR technology in its K4 Note handset.
The smartphone can be easily inserted in the VR headset, just like Google cardboard, so as to improve the cinematic experience, driven by TheatreMax.
Detailed specs of the K5 Plus by Lenovo include a full HD 5-inch display supported by 10-point multi-touch feature.
The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 616 SoC by Qualcomm clocked at 1.7GHz along with Adreno 405 GPU for better graphics.
For storage, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus offers 2GB RAM along with 16GB internal memory that can be extended up to 128GB via microSD card. The device will be powered by a removable battery module rated at 2750 mAh.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with Dual SIM support and also features 4G LTE connectivity in India. The device packs in f/2.2 lens supported 13MP rear shooter along with 5MP front-facing camera designed specifically to click selfies.
The dual speakers on the back empowered with Dolby Atmos Surround Sound will ensure an unforgettable audio experience.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is available for purchase in three color options including Graphite Grey, Gold Platinum and Silver. The handset will go on sale from 23rd of March.
