Chinese tech firm, Lenovo, have taken the wraps off three new tablets – The Lenovo Tab3 7, Tab3 8, and Tab3 10 Business, at the MWC 2016 in Barcelona.
The Lenovo Tab3 7 and the Tab3 8 are available in White, Black, Cyan, and Pink colour variants. The Lenovo Tab3 7 Wifi only variant has a price tag of $129 (that’s about 26,000 Naira) while the Tab3 8 Wifi version starts at $99 (that’s roughly 20,000 Naira).
The larger Lenovo Tab3 10 Business is meant for enterprise use and comes with a base price tag of $199 (roughly 40,000 Naira).
The business tab will hit the shelves in July this year, while the Tab3 7 and the Tab3 8 will be available starting from June.
The Lenovo Tab3 7 features a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor which is clocked at 1GHz and is further clubbed with 1GB RAM.
It houses 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded via a microSD card if more space is needed.
The tab sports a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera is also on board. There’s also a 4G LTE-enabled variant of the tab.
The Lenovo Tab3 8 sports an 8-inch 1280×800 pixels IPS display alongside all the similar specifications carried by the Tab3 7 tablet. Its 4G LTE model is priced at $149 (that’s about 30,000 Naira).
The Lenovo Tab3 7 and Tab3 8 also come with Kids Mode and Adaptive Display Technology and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The Lenovo Tab3 10 Business on the other hand houses a full-HD 10-inch IPS display which is protected by scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3.
Under the hood, there’s a quad-core MediaTek processor powering it which is clocked at 1.3GHz. This is further clubbed with 2GB RAM to give a seamless experience when multitasking.
The tablet runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Work, bears an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The LTE model comes at $50 more.
It also has a 3GB RAM+64GB inbuilt storage model which costs $299 (that’s about 60,000 Naira). It will arrive in Black colour variant along with IP52 splash-proof certification, Face Unlock and Kiosk Mode.
Connectivity options on the tablet include NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi AC, GPS, RJ45 cables and card readers, and Dolby Atmos audio tech.
