Since last December, Lenovo has been teasing the launch of the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone. Come July 22 the company will officially announce the device. Already, the smartphone was made available for reservations earlier this week on JD.com. The listing of the device on the site revealed some of the specs and images of the front and backside of the Lenovo gaming device.
However, the listing tagged the device as ‘’Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone Pro’’. The name title makes it unclear whether the smartphone will launch in Pro and non-Pro models.
Looking at the leaked images, it’s quite obvious the smartphone features a notch-less display. It comes with a full-screen display and very slim bezels. The top and bottom bezels feature red detailing and front-firing speakers.
The Lenovo Gaming phone features a two-tone design on its backside. A glossy design is seen in the middle, while the upper and lower parts appear to have a matte finish.
Furthermore, the phone has well-rounded edges and trigger buttons on both sides. Unlike other pop-up selfie cameras seen on most phone, this smartphone will feature a side-facing pop-up selfie snapper.
Before now, reports have mentioned that the Lenovo Legion gaming phone will arrive with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and support for Full HD+ resolution.
The phone is expected to run on Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC alongside 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It will offer up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The phone will debut with Lenovo’s Legion User Interface based on Android 10 OS.
According to reports, the phone will debut with a 5,000mAh battery. Because it’s a gaming smartphone with a lot of high-end features, the speculated battery capacity is feasible. The company also mentioned that it would carry support for 90W fast charging.
As for the cameras, it has a 20-megapixel side-mounted pop-up selfie shooter. The rear side houses a dual-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel main lens alongside a 16-megapixel ultrawide snapper.
Other features to expect from this device includes dual liquid cooling system, dual X-axis linear motor, and the most powerful speakers in the smartphone industry.
