The Chinese multinational technology company Lenovo has released the highly anticipated device, dubbed Lenovo K5 in the UK.
The handset is driven by an octa-core processor and is available for purchase for less than £130.
Specifications of Lenovo K5
Priced at £129, the smartphone offers full HD 5-inches display. Lenovo K5 also includes Dolby Atmos technology for enhanced sound quality and a sleek 8.2mm frame. A 13MP snapper at the back and a 5MP front-facing camera ensure a great imaging and photography experience.
Lenovo K5 appears to be a rebadged variant of Vibe K5 Plus. Most of the specifications of Lenovo K5 are the same as those of Vibe K5 Plus. However, the latest device by Lenovo will come with a massive 2750mAh battery and a Snapdragon 616 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM.
In addition, the smartphone will also sport 16GB internal storage on board that can be extended up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
Though Vibe K5 Plus came with an Android Lollipop, it is tipped to receive the Android Marshmallow 6.0 very soon. Thus, it is safe to assume that the new Lenovo K5 might show up in the UK retail stores with Android Marshmallow.
The smartphone is expected to be released in early June and will be available from a number of UK retailers including Tesco, Amazon, and Carphone Warehouse.
It is significant to mention here that the recently introduced fourth-generation Moto G and Moto G Plus are priced at £169 and £199 respectively. Thus, Lenovo has intelligently introduced a range of devices catering to all budgets. Moto G4 and G4 Plus will also be available from the same retailers.
In this price bracket, Lenovo K5 is definitely an ideal pick for those who are in search of a good smartphone at a reasonable price.
