Chinese tech firm LeEco has launched three new next-generation smartphones – LeEco Le Max 2, Le 2, and Le 2 Pro.

The smartphones are regarded as successors to the Le Max, Le 1, and Le 1 Pro which were launched last year.

They are the world’s first smartphone to forgo a typical 3.5mm headphone jack and instead feature USB Type-C audio connector.

The devices also come in a metal-clad body and run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out-of-the-box with Emotion UI 5.6.01 skin on top.

They will also be compatible with the VR headset the company is set to launch in May. The three smartphones are made in several variants and are now available for pre-order from the company’s China site.

The LeEco Le Max 2 has a 4GB RAM+ 32GB internal storage variant which goes for CNY 2099 (roughly 63,000 naira), a 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage variant which costs CNY 2,299 (about 70,000 naira) and a top model with 6GB RAM+64GB storage which has a price tag of CNY 2,499 (roughly 77,000 naira).

LeEco Le Max 2 features a 5.7 inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) resolution bezel-less display with a pixel density of 515ppi.

It is powered by the flagship 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which is supported by an Adreno 530 GPU.

The LeEco Le Max 2 has a 21-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed by a 3100mAh battery which supports Qualcomm Quick Charging 3.0 technology.

On the connectivity front, the Le Max 2 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, and Micro-USB Type-C connectivity.

The LeEco Le 2 houses a smaller 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution bezel-less display with a pixel density of 403ppi.

It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. This is further clubbed with 3GB of RAM and Mali GPU.

The smartphone features a 16-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and also houses 32GB of inbuilt storage.

It is powered by a 3000mAh battery and supports the same connectivity options as the Le Max 2.

Unlike the others, the LeEco Le 2 has only one variant and is priced at CNY 1,099 (roughly 34,000 naira). The Le 2 Pro comes in two variants based on its chipset.

There’s a model which sports the Helio X20 chipset and costs CNY 1,399 (that’s about 43,000 naira). The other variant sports the Helio X25 variant and goes for CNY 1,499 (that’s approximately 46,000 naira).
