A few hours back, a Chinese tipster shared some information about an upcoming Snapdragon 870-driven smartphone.
The tipster claims that the smartphone is a Vivo- branded device. It appears he could be the upcoming iQOO Neo5 handset.
The company has scheduled the launch of the iQOO Neo5 for mid-March.
According to the information, the Vivo phone would arrive with an OLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate.
The screen sports a top-centred punch-hole for the front-facing camera. And it draws power from a 4,400mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
The report mentions that the mystery Vivo smartphone would debut with a rapid charging technology similar to that on the OPPO Reno5 Pro+.
He further revealed that the upcoming Vivo handset would sport an OIS-assisted Sony IMX589 sensor – which is different from the ordinary Sony IMX589 lens.
Interestingly, the details shared seem to correlate with that of the iQOO Neo5. Earlier, another tipster shared the alleged specifications of the iQOO Neo5.
The two publications mention that the smartphone would feature the Snapdragon 870 chipset.
Last month, a Vivo phone with model number V2045A appeared at Geekbench.
The Geekbench listing mentioned that the V2054A handset would offer the user 12GB of RAM alongside the Snapdragon 870 SoC. And it will come pre-installed with the Android 11 OS.
The handset got approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority already. The Bluetooth listing of the phone revealed that it would carry support for Bluetooth 5.1.
Meanwhile, the Google Play listing of the V2055A smartphone made it to the internet space earlier this month.
The listing show that the handset supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It further mentions that it would sport the Snapdragon 870 chip, 12GB of RAM, and Android 11 OS.
The image of the handset at Google Play show that it has a top-centre positioned punch-hole.
It remains to be seen which of the model numbers would arrive as the iQOO Neo5.
