One of the devices that we had been expecting for some time now is the iQOO Z5 5G, and we thought that the launch event would be on the 23rd of September. However, that came from leaks so we knew to take that information with a pinch of salt.
According to the company, via an official Weibo post, the launch date of this unit will be 27 September. That is close to the rumour so we know that some of the leaks we have had in the past could hold weight.
Of those leaks, we can expect a device with the Qualcomm SD 778G chipset under the hood. The screen has an amazing 120Hz refresh rate and comes with a 240Hz sampling rate to match. The exact size of the screen is not known yet, but it should be in the 6 inch and above range for sure.
The teaser image of the device already tells us that it will have a triple camera setup on the back. That is only bettered by the fact that the main sensor could b a 64MP snapper. Of course, they could have done better, but the either two sensors will help improve what this one can do.
There will also be a Pro variant of this device which is expected to launch on the same day with this unit.
For now, let’s wait to see what iQOO brings us on this new device.
