Finally, the much expected iQOO Z1x 5G is now official in China. Presently, the smartphone is one of the cheapest 5G-ready devices in the country. The phone debuts with impressive specs like the Snapdragon 765G chipset, a 48-megapixel triple camera system, and massive battery capacity with support for rapid charging.
The glass framed iQOO Z1x 5G weighs 199.5 grams and measures 164.20 x 76.5 x 9.06mm. It comes with a 6.57-inch IPS LCD panel with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display is HDR10 compliant, has support for P3 colour gamut, and Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
Furthermore, the device supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. It can adapt intelligently to the refresh rate depending on what is running on the display. The company noted that the screen’s intelligent adaptation capability is to reduce the rate of battery consumption.
On the top left corner of the phone’s screen, a punch-hole camera housing a 16-megapixel selfie camera is present. A rectangular-shaped module consisting of a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and another 2-megapixel lens is found on the back of the device.
The triple camera on the phone also offers night view mode, portrait mode, time-lapse, panorama, up to 4K video recording, and up to 1080p slow-motion video shooting.
On the inside, the phone features the Snapdragon 765G chipset that supports dual 5G mode. LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage assist the chipset. The device has no option for storage expansion.
The iQOO Z1x 5G comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W rapid charging support. The company claims it takes about one hour to charge the device fully.
The iQOO Z1x 5G comes with a side-facing fingerprint scanner and has other features like Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, USB-C, face unlock and dual-SIM support.
The smartphone comes in four variants;
- 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage – 1,598 Yuan (~$228)
- 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 1,798 Yuan (~$257)
- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 1,998 Yuan (~$286)
- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – 2,298 Yuan (~$329)
The device will arrive in Sharp Cool Black, Water White, and Sea Azure colour options.
iQOO is offering custom made cases worth 39 Yuan, approximately $5.5 to interested customers.
