A couple of months back, iQOO took the covers off the iQOO Neo5 smartphone in China, and the handset came with the Snapdragon 870 chipset.
Now, the company has discreetly announced a new smartphone, which seems to be a lower model of the iQOO Neo5 – the iQOO Neo5 Vitality Edition.
The iQOO Neo5 Vitality Edition arrived as the second phone from the company to feature the Snapdragon 870 processor. And it features attractive specifications as well.
iQOO Neo5 Vitality Edition specifications
The all-new iQOO Neo5 Vitality Edition sports a 6.56-inch LCD panel that supports a 20:9 aspect ratio, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The screen also supports HDR, 480nits brightness, and it offers the user a 90.4% screen space. It features a power button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner, on its right spine.
Further, the iQOO Neo5 Vitality edition runs on the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform with up to 1GB of LPDDR5 RAM. And it offers the user up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
For smoother operations, the iQOO Neo5 Vitality Edition converts 3GB of storage space to RAM via memory fusion technology.
The handset comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 44W rapid charging. The company claims that the smartphone will gain up to 70% battery charge within 30 minutes using the rapid charger.
Talking lenses, the handset comes with a 16-megapixel front-facing snapper.
On the other hand, the back panel features a vertically-aligned camera system that consists of a 48-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
The camera system features night mode, time-lapse photography, portrait mode, and slow-motion video recording at 1080p.
The iQOO Neo5 Vitality Edition runs on the Origin OS 1.0 based on Android 11 OS. And it features connectivity options like 5G, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio port.
Pricing and availability of the iQOO Neo5 Vitality Edition
The iQOO Neo5 Vitality Edition will debut in three variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.
These variants retail for 2,299 Yuan (~$357), 2,499 Yuan (~$388), and 2,699 Yuan respectively (~$419), respectively.
