New Delhi technological company, Intex, has launched two new budget smartphones into the Indian market.

The company has listed the Intex Cloud 3G Candy and Intex Cloud 3G Gem on its website and both phones are priced at Rs. 2,999 (about 15,000 Naira) and Rs. 3,599 (approximately 18,000 Naira) respectively. No information about the phones’ availability was released but they are both expected to hit market shelves soon.

The Intex Cloud 3G Candy comes with Android’s 4.4.2 Kitkat Operating System. It features a 4-inch display with a 480 x 800 pixels screen resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum processor and packs a SC7715 SoC which is further coupled with 256MB of RAM.

For photo capturing services, the Intex Cloud 3G Candy has a 2-megapixel rear camera accompanied with an LED flash. There’s also a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies.

The dual SIM smartphone comes with a 512 MB internal memory which is expandable via microSD card up to 32 GB. It supports 3G on one SIM and 2G on another. Other connectivity options on the phone include Bluetooth, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi, and GPRS/ EDGE.

The phone measures 122.5×63.3×10.1mm and packs a 1400 mAh removable battery, rated to deliver a talk time of up to 6 hours and a standby time of up to 350 hours.

The Intex Cloud 3G Gem sports very similar specs with the Intex Cloud 3G Candy.

It has the same display features as the Cloud 3G Candy but it’s slightly longer, measuring 125.2×63.3x10mm. The smartphone runs the same 1 GHz Spreadtrum processor as the Cloud 3G Candy but it’s coupled with SC7731G SoC and 512 MB of RAM.

Other features including Operating System, camera capabilities, battery power and connectivity options on the Cloud 3G Gem are same as those found on the Cloud 3G Candy.

Both phones will be available in Black, Champagne, and Silver colour options.
