Intex has announced the arrival of its new 4G smartphone in India. This time, the firm named the phone Intex Aqua Secure.
The device will be made available at retail stores, and e-commerce websites across the Asian country, Intex said. The firm added that the device will sell for Rs. 6,499 (roughly 21,000 naira), putting it in the entry-level class.
The smartphone will be available in Golden and Grey colour options.

In reality, the smartphone is a budget device, but it is packed with enticing goodies. The Intex Aqua secure sports a fingerprint sensor on its matte finish back panel, the first Intex phone to have the feature.
In addition, the Intex Aqua Secure supports several 4G bands, along with support for VoLTE (voice over LTE) with HD voice call compatibility.
The dual-SIM supporting smartphone has a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Both SIM slots are 4G enabled, although only one SIM can work on 4G at one time, while the other will be on 3G/ 2G.
The Intex Aqua Secure is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M SoC clubbed with 1GB of RAM. It also bears 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB, if more space is needed, via a microSD card.
There’s a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with dual-LED flash on the device while a 2-megapixel front-facing camera is available for selfies.
Connectivity options on the phone include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB. Measuring 133.5×66.5×9.4mm, it weighs 130 grams and packs a 1900mAh battery.
