US-based smartphone maker InFocus has added a new member to its flagship M8 series with the launch of the InFocus M808.

The smartphone looks premium and comes with a mid-range price tag. It is the successor to the previously launched M812 and goes on sale exclusively on Snapdeal for a price tag of Rs 12,999 (approximately 40,000 Naira).

The Infocus M808 features an all-metal unibody design with gaps on the back left out for the antenna band’s reception.

According InFocus, the metal used to produce the flagship smartphone went through over 1,000 CNC cuts and unique 3D cutting processes to give the M808 its lustrous metallic body which is just 7.56 mm slim.

The InFocus M808 has a 5.2-inch FHD Display with a pixel resolution of 1920×1080 and runs Android Lollipop 5.1 out-of-the-box.

The smartphone is powered by 64 bit 1.3Ghz octa-core processor which is further clubbed with 2GB RAM. It sports a 16GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB via a micro-SD card.

The back of the Infocus M808 houses a 13MP rear camera equipped with a LED Flash while the front features a 5MP unit for taking high quality selfies.

On the connectivity front, it supports GSM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS/AGPS+GLONASS along with 4G band

The dual SIM smartphone supports only nano sims and comes with ambient light sensor, G-sensor, e-compass and Gyro.

The InFocus M808 packs a 2450mAh battery and will be available in Silver and Golden colour variants.

Speaking on the launch, Sachin Thapar, Country Head, InFocus India, said the new smartphone was given a full metal body due to the response it got after producing the M812.

“The kind of overwhelming consumer response we received for our last flagship launch of M812 reaffirmed our belief that today’s style conscious smartphone users are looking for a device which sets them apart from the crowd, with an aspiring design and stellar performance,”

Sachin said.

“Full metal design is undoubtedly the true benchmark for premium looks and with InFocus M808, we have yet again accomplished the best in the category design with a delightful performance,”

he added.
