Infinix Mobility’s much anticipated upgrade to the Infinix Zero 2, the Inifinix Zero 3, has been launched in Nigeria.
The phone is considered a flagship smartphone as it packs high end specs. It comes with a 20.7 megapixel primary camera which features a better focus in tracking of fast-moving objects and support 4K video recording. A 5 megapixel front camera with LED flash is also on board.
The Infinix Zero 3 sports a 5.5 inches Full HD 1920 x 1280 resolution display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 chip clocked at an amazing speed of 2.2GHz. This is further coupled with a 3GB RAM. This combination supports 2K display and ensures a seamless “lag-free” experience when mult-tasking.
The phone will come with either a 16 or 32 GB internal storage which can be extended via a microSD card.
The company added that the Infinix Zero 3 has the fast charge feature and also supports dual SIM slots.
The smartphone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system and is backed by a 3030mAh polymer non-removable battery.
Infinix Mobility also redesigned the phone’s user interface and named it XUI—Slim. XUI offers a series of features such as different themes and wallpapers, system management, font manager and magazine lock screen. XUI is also designed to consume low battery, Infinix added.
The device hasn’t been made available yet but it can be pre-ordered online and will hit the stores from the 22nd of December, 2015. It’s price wasn’t mentioned.
Speaking at the launch event at Silverbird Cinemas in Ikeja, Lagos, Benjamin Jiang, CEO of Infinix Mobility said people don’t need to spend so much anymore to get a smartphone with premium features.
“At Infinix Mobility, we do not think that our loyal users have to break the bank to own a smartphone with high-end specs. With Infinix Zero 3, we are offering the latest technology in terms of hardware and software,”
he said.
