Infinix Mobility has announced that it will soon launch a new device in the Hot series touted to be the Infinix Hot 3.
The new device was given the “selfie with soft flash makes life colorful” tagline, suggesting that its major selling points will be a high resolution camera and a soft flash.
Infinix had said it will release six phones in 2016, the same number of phones it released in the year 2015.
There are several reports making the rounds about the new phone’s specs. It’s expected that the phone will come in two variants- The Infinix Hot 3 and Infinix Hot 3 Pro, depending on its RAM.
The smartphone is touted to come in a 5.5 inch 720p display and expected to be powered by a 1.3 GHz MediaTek Quad-core processor with Mali400-MP2 GPU.
The Infinix Hot 3 will sport either 1GB or 2GB RAM. The version with 1GB RAM has 3G connectivity while the 2GB RAM variant sports 4G LTE connectivity and is touted to be the Hot 3 Pro.
There’s 16 GB of internal storage on the device which is expandable via a microSD card. It will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with XUI on top. There’ll also be a 3000 mAh battery backing the phone.
The Infinix Hot 3 is expected to have an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front facing camera with a wide angle lens and soft flash.
Speculations are rife – the Infinix Hot 3 Pro may carry 13 MP camera at the back, and a fine diamond textured back cover might also be included.
The 1 GB version is coming around March, while the 2 GB version might hit stores around April.
The Infinix Hot 3 isn’t an Android One device, unlike its predecessor, the Hot 2, which was the first Android One device to be released in Africa.
It was part of the second generation of Android One mobile phones. The first generation was rolled out in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Indonesia, and other South Asian countries in 2014. Buy on Konga
