Chinese multinational Huawei was expected to release its flagship smartphone P9 around April 2016. Huawei has sent out press invites for an event that has been planned for 6th April. The event will be organized by the company in London.
The invites for the event give out no hint of the Huawei P9 launch. However, the image displays two circles representing the two snappers at the back. In addition, a tagline has also been included which asks the audience to change the way they see the world.
This tagline yet again refers to the camera of the latest handset which is supposed to feature Leica lenses after its recent alliance.
P9 by Huawei is speculated to be released in four choices including the Standard version, Huawei P9 Lite, P9 Premium and P9 Max.
Under the hood, this entry-level smartphone is expected to feature Snapdragon 650, packing 2GB of RAM with 16GB internal storage.
On the other hand, the standard variant of Huawei P9 is rumored to be powered by Kirin 950 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM along with 32GB storage onboard.
The premium edition of the Huawei P9 would reportedly be driven by Kirin 955 SoC and is speculated to sport 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.
Whereas Huawei P9 Max is said to feature a larger 6-inch Quad HD display and is expected to be driven by Kirin 955 SoC. In addition, the device is also speculated to sport 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of ROM.
Additional specs include Dual SIM connectivity, fingerprint sensor, 12MP rear snapper along with 8MP selfie camera.
The smartphone will be powered by a 3900mAh battery and will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with company’s Emotion UI out of the box.
The Huawei P9 is rumored to come in four color variants including pink, grey, gold and white respectively.
