Last month, Huawei announced that the company would host a launch event in Vienna, Austria, on October 21. Following the announcement, speculations say that the smartphone manufacturer may be planning the global launch of the Huawei P50 series.
Meanwhile, the Romanian arm of Huawei has confirmed that the much-anticipated launch event will see the unveiling of the new Nova series smartphones from the brand.
Now, rumors have it that Huawei may reveal the Nova 8i and Nova 9 smartphones in Vienna on October 21.
Since the Huawei Nova 8i already debuted in Malaysia a few months back, it’s not an entirely new phone. It launched with an IPS LCD panel measuring 6.67-inches. And the display promises to offer a Full HD+ resolution.
The Nova 8i features the Snapdragon 662 processor, a 4,300mAh battery, and support for 66W fast charging. The front side houses a 16-megapixel lens, and the rear panel sports a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system.
The upcoming variant of the Huawei Nova 8i will likely arrive in Europe with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage for 349 euros (~$404).
Meanwhile, the company unleashed the Nova 9 smartphone in China last month. And speculations say the same device will make its way to Europe this month.
The Huawei Nova 9 sports a 6.57-inch OLED panel with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an FHD+ resolution. The rear side of the phone sports a quad-camera unit that comprises a 50-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth lens.
The 4G variant of the Snapdragon 778G processor drives the Huawei Nova 9. And it relies on a 4,300mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.
The handset’s 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM edition will launch in Europe for 549 euros (~$635).
