Taiwanese multinational HTC has formally announced the release date for its forthcoming flagship smartphone, the HTC 10. The latest smartphone offering by HTC will beĀ released on April 12.
In honour of the occasion, HTC will be hosting simultaneous events in London, New York and Taipei. The official release proclaimed that the company will announce its #powerof10 device at the said events.
The company will stream the three events via its web portal at 6:30 pm GMT. However there has been no word if HTC will host an offline event along with an online event.
It is noteworthy to mention here that HTC held the same sort of online event for the launch of HTC One A9 in 2015.
The release date of the handset was made official via the company’s official twitter account.
Meanwhile, the company has actively been running the marketing campaign for HTC 10. HTC has been teasing the handset, specifically its snapper ability for quite some time.
The company recently disclosed a significant design detail specifying that the smartphone will feature chamfered corners.
In addition, the latest reports also suggest that the HTC 10 will pack in a Super LCD 5 display panel and will be backed by 3000 mAh battery.
The smartphone is rumored to be fueled by Snapdragon 820 processor by Qualcomm augmented with Adreno 530 graphics chip. HTC 10 will be driven by Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box.
The handset will feature 4GB of RAM along with 32GB expandable internal storage.
In terms of camera, the HTC 10 is said to come with a 12MP UltraPixel back camera featuring dual LED support and will also sportĀ a 5MP UltraPixel front-facing camera to click selfies.
HTC has been vocal about the camera quality of the handset claiming it to be compelling. According to HTC, the handset will feature world class rear and front shooters.
