Google to remove YouTube Messaging feature from September 18

Google has been discontinuing some features for the past couple of months, and we are seeing yet another one headed down the drain soon. If you have ever heard of YouTube Messaging (we are guessing not many people even know about this), you will not hear of it anymore after September 18.

The service was launched to help users share videos with their friends on the platform via an in-house media. However, it didn’t seem to catch on much. That is because many will rather share these videos via other messaging apps that they use rather than use the one YouTube has provided.

As is the case with Google, the company likes to kill off services that are not doing well so they can focus their resources on the ones that are going strong. This time, we can surely not say we are going to miss this feature at all.
