While the Google Pixels just seem to be catching up with multiple camera technology on their upcoming Pixel 4, it does seem like they are bringing a new feature which we didn’t even expect to the market.
just seem to be catching up with multiple camera technology on their upcoming Pixel 4, it does seem like they are bringing a new feature which we didn’t even expect to the market.
New images of the device show us what we want to see – in addition to an extra sensor on the outside. For now, what that sensor could be is anyone’s guess.
We could start by saying this would most probably be a Soli sensor which the company has been working on for a while now. On the outside, users will only see a black surface which hides a lot of radar in the background. The radar is important for controlling the phone with hand gestures, and we believe that could be a really cool thing too.
On the other hand, this could be the location of a true tone sensor for the screen. Afterall, Apple has been working on this technology for its screens for awhile now, and Google might just want to beat the Cupertino-based company to that punch.
As you can see, everything is just speculation for now. If the company doesn’t deem it fit to address this, though, we might have to wait till launch to know what’s truly going on under the hood.
