Last year, Gionee struggled to release several smartphones – probably due to the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the smartphone maker has started improving on its releases since the beginning of the year.

In that vein, the company has officially taken the covers off a new smartphone in Nigeria – the Gionee M15.

Though a mid-range device, the handset comes with several attractive features at a reasonable price.

It comes with a centre-aligned punch-hole panel, a 48-megapixel quad-camera setup, and a gaming-focused processor.

Without further ado, here are the specs of the Gionee M15 smartphone:

Specifications of the Gionee M15

The handset comes with an IPS LCD panel that has a dimension of 6.67-inches. The display supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate.

The rear side of the phone sports a rectangular camera module with curved edges and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The rear camera system comprises a 48-megapixel primary snapper, a 5-megapixel ultrawide shooter, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth lens.

On the front, the Gionee M15 offers the user a 16-megapixel primary sensor that allows the user to take selfies and make video calls.

Under the hood, the MediaTek-powered Helio G90 chipset controls the affairs of the Gionee M15 smartphone. It debuts with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage.

The handset also allows the user to expand storage via a microSD card.

The Gionee M15 arrives with the usual connectivity features like 4G LTE, USB port, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

It relies on a 5,100mAh battery – which supports 18W rapid charging – for backup.

Pricing details of the Gionee M15

The smartphone company unveiled the Gionee M15 in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.

The former carries a price tag of ₦90,800 (~$221), and the latter sells for ₦106,200 (~$258).
