While we are still basking in the awesomeness of the recently unveiled flagship from Samsung’s S-series, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, new details are already coming to light about their supposed successor!
The Samsung S9 and S9 Plus duo arrived with some amazing features: sleek designs, top-quality camera, dual camera with variable aperture (for S9 Plus), AR emoji, fast processor etc. However, from the information we gathered, it seems the Galaxy S10 will Trump whatever the current flagships brought on board.
First, it is rumoured that the upcoming Galaxy S10 will be allotted the codename “Beyond” by Samsung. The South Korean OEM will be celebrating her 10th anniversary soon and reports have it that the Galaxy S10 will be the OEM’s celebratory smartphone — just like Apple did with the iPhone X.
Though not confirmed, we can assume that since the Galaxy S10 will be having a unique name, different from other Samsung phones, to itself, the device will likewise launch with unique features we have never seen on previous devices.
Secondly, before the S9 and S9 Plus were unveiled, rumour had it that Samsung tried to embed an in-screen or under-display fingerprint sensor but failed due to some factors that had to do with timing and planning. However, this source reveals that Samsung has concluded plans to have the under-display fingerprint sensor on the upcoming Galaxy S10 (or better yet, Galaxy X).
While we would have to wait till next year for the release of the Galaxy S10 and the under-display fingerprint sensor it will reportedly launch with, there is a possibility of seeing the feature on a Samsung product — the Galaxy Note 9 — later this year.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be unveiled later this year in Berlin, Germany at the IFA 2018 event scheduled to hold between August and September.
