Yesterday, a Chinese tipster reported on an upcoming OPPO smartphone with the Snapdragon 750G chipset.
He claimed that the handset would arrive as the OPPO Reno5K. The report further revealed that the upcoming phone as a new variant of the OPPO Reno5 5G smartphone.
So far, the significant difference between the two smartphones lies under the hood. The Reno5 5G features a Snapdragon 765G chipset, and the Reno5K would debut with the Snapdragon 750G.
A few hours ago, the smartphone brand released an official statement. It confirmed the presence and launch of the OPPO Reno5K handset.
The publication states that the handset will arrive in China tomorrow – February 25.
The poster of the OPPO Reno5K suggests that it will come in two colour options like starry dream and green.
The image of the OPPO Reno5K on the poster is identical to that of the OPPO Reno5 5G.
Specifications of the OPPO Reno5K Smartphone
The OPPO Reno5K already surfaced in the product library of China Telecom with the model number PEGM10.
The China Telecom listing mentions that it sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a punch-hole design.
The display offers a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, and it has an under-display fingerprint reader.
The documents confirmed the chipset on the handset as the Snapdragon 750G.
The OPPO Reno5K would arrive pre-loaded with Android 11 OS and a 4,500mAh battery.
The phone already got approval from the 3C authority of China. And the listing states that it might support 65W rapid charging technology.
For lenses, the OPPO Reno5K comes with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The rear panel of the Reno5K packs a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera setup.
OPPO is offering the handset in two variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
It appears the price of the OPPO Reno5K on China Telecom is incorrect. However, speculations have it that the phone would sell for less than 2,699 Yuan (~$417) – which is the starting price of the OPPO Reno5 5G.
