In September 2019, Sony, at the IFA 2019 tech trade show, announced the Xperia 5 smartphone. A couple of days ago, the render of the upcoming Sony Xperia 5 II was shared by Evan Blass, a renowned tipster.
Now, an exclusive report that contains the renders and specifications of the unannounced Sony phone was shared by Android Headlines.
The information extracted from the report states that Sony has no plan to announce the phone at the 2020 Edition of the IFA tech trade show. The report further mentioned that the Xperia 5 II phone would debut on September 17.
According to previous reports, the Sony phone has almost the same build as its predecessor. The information from Android Headlines reveals that the Xperia 5 II would sport a Full HD+ 6.1-inch OLED display.
Besides supporting HDR feature, the display would offer the user with a 21:9 aspect ratio.
If the reports turn out to be legit, then, the Xperia 5 II would be the first smartphone from Sony to support a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 865 SoC alongside 8GB of RAM would power the device. It offers the user with 128GB of native storage space and a MicroSD slot for storage expansion.
The phones back panel would house a triple camera setup, which includes a 12-megapixel primary camera with a 24mm lens and 82° field of view, another 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom feature, and a 12-megapixel super-wide shooter with 124° field of view.
The lenses on the smartphone support slow-motion video recording at 4K, EIS, IOS, and 120fps 4K HDR video recording.
The Xperia 5 II would launch as a 5G-ready smartphone. A 4,000mAh battery which supports rapid charging feature would back up the device.
