Coolpad Max launched for Rs. 2499

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched its premium handset called Coolpad Max. This is the first upper mid-range smartphone by Coolpad and is priced at Rs. 24,999.

The premium quality Coolpad Max comes with the dual-system security feature. The Dual Isolation technology allows the users to access the typical features of a smartphone via a separate external open system. However, the sensitive user data like the phone record and text messages is secured via encryption.

Coolpad Max has a unique space management feature that allows the users to maintain accounts for social services like Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Whatsapp. Therefore, the latest offering of Coolpad is an ideal choice for the people who want to forgo the hassle of carrying two handsets around yet want to keep their professional and personal lives distinct.

Coolpad Max has already been launched in China with a metallic full body layout and including a fingerprint scanner on the back. The company has claimed that its fingerprint sensor boasts an accuracy of an incredible 99.99%.

Specifications of Coolpad Max

Coolpad Max flaunts curved 2.5D 5.5-inches full HD display. Additional Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection has been added to the screen which comes with the pixel density of 401 ppi. The smartphone is driven by Cool UI running atop the Android 5.1 Lollipop. Coolpad has yet to comment on the availability of the Marshmallow update for the handset.

An inspection of the innards of Coolpad Max reveals that the smartphone is driven by 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 CPU. The handset comes with 4GB of RAM and an internal memory of 64GB, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

Coolpad Max sports a 13MP rear camera with a dual tone LED flash. A 5MP front shooter is also included in the package. On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, 3G, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS.

The latest handset by Coolpad is backed by a 2,800 mAh battery unit featuring Quick Charge 3.0. The battery can last for up to 17 hours of talk time and 310 hours of standby time.

The phone will come in two colors including the ‘Royal Gold’ and ‘Rose Gold’ color variants. Coolpad Max will be available for purchase via Amazon from May 30.
