Recently, the live images of the upcoming Huawei Nova 8 smartphone appeared online. Not only did the pictures reveal the design of the Huawei phone, but also its specifications and features.
Also, a few live shots of the Pro variant of the Nova 8 appeared online not long ago. However, the specifications of the handset remain a mystery.
Now, a reputable Chinese tipster that goes by the name Digital Chat Station has taken to Weibo to share the specs sheet of the Huawei Nova 8 and Huawei Nova 8 Pro smartphones.
According to the publication, the Nova 8 Pro weighs 184 grams, and it has a dimension of 163.3 x 74.1 x 7.9mm.
The handset comes with a 6.72-inch OLED panel that has curved edges. The display has support for a 10-bit colour depth, a high refresh rate of 120Hz, and a custom resolution of 2676 x 1236 pixels.
The edges of the display have an 80° curvature and is integrated with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
On the other hand, the Huawei Nova 8 features a 6.5-inch OLED display that supports an HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint reader.
The Nova 8 has a lesser weight of 169 grams, and it measures 160 x 74 x 7.6mm.
Meanwhile, the top left corner of the Nova 8 Pro’s display features a pill-shaped cutout that houses a 32-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual selfie camera system.
The rear side of the Nova 8 has a quad-camera system housing a 64-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth assist camera.
Though the Nova 8 comes with the same rear camera configuration of its Pro variant, it only features a single 32-megapixel front-facing snapper.
The tipster further mentioned that the duo would arrive with the Kirin 985 chipset. The Nova 8 would house a 3,700mAh battery and the Nova 8 Pro a slightly larger 3,900mAh battery.
Both smartphones would debut with support for 66W fast charging and in models such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
