Canadian telecommunication and wireless equipment manufacturer Blackberry is set to launch Blackberry Priv in the Indian market.
Priv is the introductory Android Smartphone flagship from Blackberry. The company recently revealed the news of Priv launch in India, scheduled on January 28. An introductory event will be organized in New Delhi. Blackberry has already sent out the invites for the Priv launch event.
Meanwhile, no new update on the specified price for Indian market has been made available. In the US, the handset comes with a price tag of $699, whereas in Europe it flaunts a price of €779.
This report of the new launch has come soon after the Canadian company added France to its rapidly expanding portfolio of Blackberry Priv. Only a few days ago, the handset landed in quite a few more European markets including Italy, Spain and Netherlands.
BlackBerry Priv is the debut Android handset of the smartphone manufacturer. Priv features a 5.4-inches capacitive screen AMOLED display. The handset has a sharp and clear display with 1440×2560p screen resolution and 540ppi pixel density. The screen as been provided an additional protection with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Blackberry Priv is driven by MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core processor by Qualcomm. The chipset is augmented with Adreno 418 GPU for graphics.
BlackBerry Priv flaunts a 3410mAh non-removable Lithium Ion battery. Priv battery also supports quick charge and wireless charging features. The handset sports 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt memory expandable up to 2TB.
In terms of camera, Priv by BlackBerry features an 18MP auto-focus rear shooter with PDAF and OIS support. The 2MP front-facing camera can capture selfies. Front camera comes with 720p HD video capture support.
Blackberry has retained its trademark keyboard feature in this latest handset. The company prides itself on the latest encryption and security features of Blackberry Priv.
