French multinational company, Archos has launched two new smartphones namely the Diamond 2 Note and the Diamond 2 Plus ahead of MWC 2016.

The Archos Diamond 2 Note is priced at $279 (roughly 56,000 Naira) while the Diamond 2 Plus costs $229 (that’s about 46,000 Naira). Both phones come bearing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and will hit the shelves in May this year.

The dual-SIM supporting Archos Diamond 2 Note has a 6-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) resolution IPS display with 2.5D curved screen. It is protected by corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a pixel density of 490ppi.

The smartphone houses 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD slot.

Archos Diamond 2 Note is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek X10 MT6795 processor clocked at 2GHz, clubbed with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and PowerVR G6200 GPU.

The smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 84-degree wide angle BSI sensor is also on board.

Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE (Cat. 4),Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, IR Sensor, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB (with OTG), and FM radio options. The Diamond 2 Note is backed by a non-removable 3610mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capabilities.

The Archos Diamond 2 Plus also sports dual SIM support. It features a smaller 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution IPS display with 2.5D curved screen, DragonTrail front, Full Black Lamination and pixel density of 400ppi. It has 64GB of internal memory which can be expanded via a microSD card up to 128GB.

The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek P10 MT6755processor (four cores at 2GHz+four cores at 1.2GHz), clubbed with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and Mali-T860MP2 (700MHz) GPU.

It sports a 20-megapixel rear camera with Sony sensor, laser focus and dual LED flash. Also featured is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide angle sensor and front-facing flash.

For connectivity the Archos Diamond 2 Plus bears 4G LTE (Cat. 6),Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB Type-C (with OTG), and FM radio.

The smartphone is backed by a non-removable 3000mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capabilities. It also houses a fingerprint sensor for enhanced privacy and security.
