There were a lot of things to take away from the Apple launch event that saw the introduction of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models. One of these is the ProMotion which took the refresh rate of the device to as high as 120Hz. While that is amazing, it is now being seen that Apple doesn’t have this plan for all the apps on the phone.
For the time being, only custom apps are getting this refresh rate as others are stuck at 60Hz. Apple itself has confirmed the issue, and even mentioned that there is a fix coming to ensure that third party apps will start getting the same refresh rate also.
Knowing Apple, this is a strategic move to ensure that the device launches as fast as possible with enough great features that can be tested on other apps that they carry. For now, it is a nice thing to know that the company has confirmed the issue, and we wait for the update that brings this fix.
Right now, though, we wait.
