In 2020, POCO unveiled the POCO M3 smartphone in India and a few other markets. So far, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has sold over 3 million units of the POCO M3.
Recently, reports reaching the internet space say that the firm is gearing to launch the Pro variant of the POCO M3.
According to the reports, the phone will debut as POCO M3 Pro 5G. If the leaks are legit, the upcoming device will arrive as the first POCO mid-range smartphone to support 5G.
In a recent interview with Android Central, the head of POCO global – Kevin Xiaobo Qiu – shared a few of the details of the upcoming smartphone.
Qiu mentioned that POCO still shares its resources, including R&D, manufacturing, and after-sales, with Xiaomi.
The POCO M3 Pro sets a record as the first Dimensity-powered device with support for 5G connectivity.
Rumours say that the handset will carry the Dimensity 700 chipset since it would debut as a remake of the Redmi Note 10 5G.
Qiu also stated that though the POCO M3 Pro 5G is not a gaming device, it can handle intensive gaming at average settings.
The phone would also arrive as the first M-series handset to feature a high refresh rate panel.
