A Lagos-based identity verification company – Youverify, has bagged the ISO 27018 and ISO 27001 from the International Standards of Organizations.
The startup received the certifications after the completion of the requirements.
Following this achievement, Youverify breaks a record as the first tech firm in sub-Saharan Africa to have received the ISO 27108 and 27001 certifications.
For many who do not know, the ISO 27001 is an information Security Standard that is globally recognized. It shows that the bearer complies with the best practices of the international security management.
Also, the ISO 27018 is awarded to companies that possess the systems and controls for enforcing measures to safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The certification is in line with the privacy principles for public cloud computing environments.
Commenting, the CEO Youverify, Gbenga Odegbami, says that the certifications cements Youverify’s commitment to quality service, data security, and confidentiality of its consumers.
